Julia’s work is placed in Hammerbrook, a district that has long been home to various industries and workers, and for several decades, has been a heavily wired location through data centers. Ana Paula Franco
Feitiço

03.05.2024 – 05.05.24

In the exhibition Feitiço, Ana Paula Franco talks about the correlations between rituals and the artistic process. The word feitiço in Portuguese, particularly from Brazil, translates to spell or enchantment. Often regarded as a form of ritual, a spell also involves a series of actions performed to achieve a specific goal, like in the making of an artwork. Despite the significant differences between both practices, it is the commonalities among them that inspire Ana Paula’s work and the dialogue they are set out to engage in: about how cultural processes have the potential to transform things as they are.

Opening: Fri 03/05 19h with DJ JuiCe at the turntables

Exhibition: Sat 04/05 + Sun 05/05 15-18h

Simon Strotmann – Zukünfte – Neue Perspektiven auf alte Realitäten

12.04.2024 – 14.04.2024

Simon Strotmann zeigt ZUKUENFTE.

A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do

15.03 – 17.03.2024

Die Ausstellung »A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do« untersucht auf künstlerisch-

Landscapes are structures – complex parts of our cultural systems, they hold memories, meanings, and they are not untouched by change.
The presented body of work combines modular structures with living flora, a dialogue between the biological system of plant material and seemingly lifeless systems like aluminum.
Natural and artificial is not oppositional, it’s dialectical.
The show is part of the experimental research project HTLAL? of Kaeur Studio.
