Heavy Metal Accumultation • Blurred Edges Festival
07.06.2025 16h Kanal Wendenstraße 45c HEAVY METAL ACCUMULATION is the first event of a new series by Tintin Patrone dealing with Heavy Metal related music phenomena. It connects to environmental concepts as well as to pure harshness and uptempo arpeggiated guitar or midi madness. The first HEAVY METAL ACCUMULTAION event is a sort of live listening event situated next to one of the polluted water canals in Hamburg at Wendenstr, hosting 5 metal mining acts:Das Orakel von Synth aka Maria Wildeis (live), Scheich in China feat. Dominik Bucher (live), Nick Klein (live), Tintin Patrone (live), Malte Struck (DJ) Artwork: Alsen Rau Nick Klein / liveis an artist working in sound and art and sometimes (begrudgingly) sound art with a lean towards the social potential in those modalities as they interact. Klein has recorded a large amount of music for tape, CD, digital file, and vinyl editions for music labels around the world, as well as running his own amorphous label project PL (primitive languages, Psychic Liberation, etc). Concurrently, to the best of his ability, he has shown work in visual art contexts. Klein is uninterested in the prohibitive ideological tropes and circumstances that both contexts offer, and focuses the intent of his work on trying to see what productive energy comes from the friction between the two. Klein likes loud volume, cooking, offline community building, records, bars, synthesizers, and comedy. https://soundcloud.com/nick-klein Malte Struck / DJArtist, lives and works in HamburgCo-founder and curator of the Kunstverein St. Pauli www.maltestruck.de Scheich in China feat. In January, Maria released her debut EP on the Cologne label Magazine.Maria Wildeis is interested in acoustics, spatialization, digital sound generation and procedural sound synthesis. She accompanies productions with real-time sound and sound arrangements and produces pieces of music, installations and sound art. www.mariawildeis.com TinTin Patrone / liveis a German-Filipino sound and performance artist whose work explores the intersections of music, art, sound, and experimental forms. Her focus is often on the visual aspects of music and how it fosters connections both personally and socially. Her minimal sound works and long-duration performances are shaped by studies in microtonality and influences from animals that make music, such as the chanting huskies from Canada's Yukon Territory. Her compositions often explore tuning, intonation, and harmonic modulation, moving gradually through sustained tones produced by trombone and various modulation devices.Collaboration is another key element of Patrone's artistic process. She frequently works with other artists and collectives, fostering an environment of mutual exploration and shared creative inquiry.Having performed at festivals like Skaņu Mežs (LV), Intonal (SE), Meakusma (BE), Unsafe&Sound (AT), and Lacking Sound Fest (TW), Patrone has become a notable presence within the experimental music scene. Tintin's work was created in the Resonanzlab, a collaborative project between the Global Forest art association, Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences (HFU), and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). The ResonanzLab project is funded by the Lake Constance Four-Country Region Science Network with funding from the Interreg VI Alpine Rhine-Lake Constance-High Rhine program. https://tintinpatrone.com/
